...the {addiction} slowly started about 10 years ago when i discovered the smudge tool on a trial version of paintshop pro. soon after that, i found myself building web pages - some, i'm hesitant to say, featured gaudy animated graphics and text that blinked. i caught on quickly, {toned down} the blinking and started to add useful information. mostly about musicians that inspired me. one site, dedicated to sharing the {guitar} tablature of folk singer patty griffin, clocked in over 40,000 hits within a few months time.

the internet was the greatest /resource/ i could ever imagine. at times, i found myself anxious about traveling - knowing that i wouldn't be able to do a quick search for the [coziest] sounding coffee shop or find out what time the show started.

while continuing to develop my own sites, i gradually started offering my skills to friends and local [musicians] - i went to Michigan State University and received a BA in {Telecommunications}.

i am now working as a full-time designer and fully utilize the both HTML & JAVASCRIPT programming languages. I am also proficient in the aesthetic elements of ASP and ASP.NET.
